NHS Egland Paid Hopsitals To Deny Healthcare By Removing Patients From Waiting Lists
NHS England has been paying NHS Trusts to remove people from waiting lists, irrespective of whether or not they need treatment. The main way of doing this is to send patients waiting for treatment, a text asking if the want to remain on the waiting list. If they do not reply, or respond with a 'No', they are removed from the list without further notice!
The NHS Trusts in the Merseyside area were:
WIRRAL UNIVERSITY TEACHING HOSPITAL NHS FOUNDATION TRUST - £379,135
WARRINGTON AND HALTON TEACHING HOSPITALS NHS FOUNDATION TRUST £67,382
THE WALTON CENTRE NHS FOUNDATION TRUST £87,917
THE CLATTERBRIDGE CANCER CENTRE NHS FOUNDATION TRUST £33,995
MERSEY AND WEST LANCASHIRE TEACHING HOSPITALS NHS TRUST £117,819
LIVERPOOL WOMEN'S NHS FOUNDATION TRUST £100,508
LIVERPOOL HEART AND CHEST HOSPITAL NHS FOUNDATION TRUST £13,827
LIVERPOOL UNIVERSITY HOSPITALS NHS FOUNDATION TRUST £267,235

This was reported by the Health Services Journal, based on information they obtained via a Freedom Of Information request to NHS England.
It proves the direct political interventions taking place in the NHS, just as the new Health Bill 2026 is gping through parliament, which gives even more power and control of the NHS to the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care.
Denyng healthcare is the way that US healthcare works in order to cut costs and to maximise profit, with the new Bill introducing Accountable Care Oreganisations, freeing them and Integrated Care Boards from financial control, public scrutiny via open meetings, and the ability to raise charges, make profit and keep the cash to fund new partnerships with the private sector.
Also removed is the need to have doctors sitting on the ICB or Accountable Care Organisations boards.
