For the last 2 years, Lee has been actively involved as a local Union Safety Rep in Warrington CCC. During this time, Lee has undertaken H&S training for this role (Details of this are under the H&S section).

In April 2004, he was elected as Assistant Secretary with responsibility for H&S and was also elected as Vice-Chair of the BT Unions North-West Health & Safety Committee and to the CCC H&S JCC to represent the North-West region.

Previous to his work with BT, Lee has been a Nursery Nurse, Care Assistant and Support Worker with people with Learning Difficulties and went on to specialise in Autistic spectrum disorders.

He is commited to people and has always been involved in one way or another in helping people, both in his previous careers in carework and in his current one as a customer service team coach.

Lee is married and has 3 young chilren, two of which are twins, and is a commited Christian and is actively involved in his local Church.
