The Smoke And Mirrors Of Labour's Dishonest NHS Policy

The Trade Unions and Constituency Labour Party delegates fail to call for repeal of Tory privatisation Acts

This morning Wes Streeting, Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, who has no responsibility to deliver a national health or social care service since the Health and Social Care Act 2012 which removed this responsibility from the secretary of state; gave his first speech as a member of the Government to the Labour Party Conference in Liverpool.

With total arrogance he told a Conference that the NHS will always be free at the point of delivery without saying who will deliver it and how, where, and whether it will be through a publicly owned NHS.

Listening to his speech, he gave no details of his plans of privatisation of the national health service, but did admit what is already the case, that the health service will be a local health service. It is however, already such a thing as it has been broken down into 42 autonomous Integrated Care Systems run by Integrated Care Boards and8nder the control of the Government quango called NHS England with no legal need to be accountable to the Secretary of State, nor the public.

The NHS is no longer owned by the public.

Private Equity, Private Healthcare companies and pension schemes, hedge funds and the US system is taking over the NHS with the blessing of Starmer and Streeting.

The denial of healthcare is the US model and Streeting's plans are not his own, but those of the likes of United Health, financial consultants, Circle Health and major private healthcare interests in order to maximise profit from healthcare.

Remember, he has taken over £193,000 in funds from private healthcare interests.

The US Kaiser Permenante system for healthcare is based on the denial of healthcare to maximise profit, including the likes of Medicare which sees insurance companies refusing to pay for healthcare for both existing health conditions, and does as all insurance companies do, find a way not to pay out!

The Labour movement and the Trade Unions have missed the whole point of delivering an NHS owned by the people and funded by the people and how to secure it for the future.

Without the repeal of the two NHS privatisation Acts in 2012 and 2022, the Government has no responsibility to provide the nation with healthcare and allows them to hand it over to private healthcare companies instead and means the current slicing up of the NHS into 42 local services cannot be gotten rid of and the NHS put back into providing a national service.

Furthermore, the NHS no longer exists as it is a Local Health Service with the private sector buried deep within NHS England and Streeting and Starmer's policy making departments.

Without the repeal, which no one at the Labour Conference has called for, of the Tory's two Acts stated above; the NHS is lost forever!

Streeting claimed that everyone, irrespective of ability to pay, deserves to have a say in their healthcare and get care and operations done on time, as the reason to bring in more private health sector to deliver services; implying that it is only the private sector that delivers healthcare in a timely manner!

But again, none of the motions submitted to the Conference points out that with private sector involvement, the NHS budget will be diluted due to the higher costs of the private sector.

One of his key aims is to make patients responsible for their own health with Lifesciences (digital on-line apps and diagnostics) removing the need for people to see GPs and attend Hospitals and to be able to self-diagnose.

Denial of healthcare is the main principle of the system of the US healthcare system, hence why Streeting is bringing the US system to England which will result in cuts to the devolved nations funding to force them too to utilise the US model.
