Patient Safety Under The Spotlight At Labour's Party Conference 2024?
Whilst the NHS itself is not on the Conference Agenda under the list of topics to be debated at this week's Labour Party Conference in Liverpool, the issue of Patient Safety is discussed in a motion from Henley and Thame, Socialist Health Association.
But the only problem is that it is listed to be part of the priorities ballot for conference delegates to decide upon which 'Topics' will be debated this week.
The terms of the proposed motion is below:
When the ballot took place, this topic was NOT selected to be debated.
Amazingly, but perhaps not surprisingly, there is no topic of NHS Privatisation listed amongst the topics to be debated, leaving the Labour Party membership with no voice on the intention of increasing the involvement of private health companies and business interests within the NHS.
